Sponsorship of Berthoud Robotics
Basic support of Berthoud Robotics can be set at no cost to you through via:
King Soopers Community Rewards Program -- On your online King Soopers account, you can select BRC as your 501c3 of choice. BRC receives a generous donation from King Soopers each time you make a purchase at no cost to you.
Team Support
VRC teams spend on average $1500 per year on robotic equipment, electronics, motors, team and local tournament registrations.
VIQC teams spend on average $400 per year on equipment, electronics, motors, team registrations and local tournament registrations.
Teams that qualify for national or international tournaments will have significantly more expenses. Entering a team in the Vex Worlds tournament typically runs about $1000 just for the entry fee. Travel and lodging are additional expenses.
Support can be directed to a specific team by noting that on your check or in the letter you send with the contribution.
Sponsors supporting a team can have their name/logo placed on the team banners, website and promotional materials.
Program Support
Donors may prefer to support either the VRC (typically older, HS and MS students) or the VIQC (MS and Elementary students).
Support can be directed to a specific program by noting that on your check or in the letter you send with the check.
Sponsors supporting a program can have their name/logo placed on all program team banners, website and promotional materials.
Student Support through the Dan K Schlagel Scholarship Fund
Donors may prefer to support students interested in STEM and robotics but their financial situation limits their ability to pay the BRC club dues.
BRC maintains the DKS Scholarship Fund to ensure that interested students are able to have their club dues partly or fully paid by requesting a scholarship.
Sponsors can support the scholarship fund by noting that on your check or in the letter you send with your contribution.
General BRC Support
Donors may prefer to support Berthoud Robotics in general.
Since BRC is a completely volunteer organization, general support covers the costs related to hosting robotics events, maintaining our 3D printer and other club electronics, insurance, promotional or other clerical expenses.
Support can be noted for general support by indicating that on your check or in the letter you send with the contribution.
Sponsors supporting the club can have their logo placed on all program team banners, BerthoudRobotics.org website and promotional materials.
Tournament Support
Donors may prefer to support the annual Berthoud Vex VRC+VIQC Tournament held typically at BHS on the first Saturday in December of each year.
Tournament expenses typically cover the BHS facility rental fee (roughly $1500 per event), full-day volunteer lunches or special awards supported by the donor.
Sponsors supporting the BRC hosted tournament can have their name/logo displayed on the BerthoudRobotics.org website, on the tournament web page on RobotEvents.com (link to the Dec 2022 event showing an example) and have banners and promotional materials at the tournament itself. Depending on specific sponsorship details one or more of the competition fields can be named for the sponsor.
Colorado Front Range VRC Competition Trailer Support
Berthoud Robotics has taken over management of the competition trailer (formerly managed by ActionWorks). The trailer is available typically for events in Colorado and southern Wyoming. The trailer is used typically 6-8 times during the year and contains of the following items:
VRC fields, field tiles and competition field electronics
Laptops and software used for competitions, monitors and sound system
Printer for generating team qualification and playoff schedules
Team pit power cables, VRC robot sizing tools
If you are holding a VRC event and would like to investigate whether the trailer could be used to augment your event or if your organization would like to donate to the trailer (laptops, large televisions/monitors, money), please send mail to RoboticsTrailer@BerthoudRobotics.org.
Sponsors can have their information displayed at all of the tournaments and can have a field named after your organization.
